Andre was our guest for the day at Sugarbush. Here he is working his way down Waterfall with excellent control; hopefully he'll get a chance to join us again.
Mango adds his own flair to a trip down Waterfall. We are happy that Andre came out alive after three consecutive days of skiing with Mango.
James blasts through the snow in the land of "Mini" trees. ---> Hey James, You play nice with the trees and nobody will get hurt. ;) Close to a foot of additional snow has fallen since this picture, and if things keep up, these trees will be buried before long.
Oh man what a crowd in the woods! Just as E was starting her line, another skier blasted by and scarfed up part of her route (not necessarily on purpose). Don't worry, we've got his picture on file ;)
Wide View: The Church area as seen from the Heaven's Gate chair. For reference, the box to the right is the usual entrance, the larger box on the left is the small snowfield that offers up great turns when enough snow is around.
Chute Ledge 1: Oooh look, people in the Church area! If you look inside the box, you can see three or four figures preparing to drop the first small ledge in the chute. A reflection off someone's goggles caught our attention, and we got a nice show during our ride up the lift. This image is at 16X through the camera lens, which did a pretty good job of capturing the images as long as the chair wasn't bouncing too much. James got along fine with his regular eyes of course. The poor guy sitting with us probably thought we were making it up ;)
Chute Ledge 1: J.Spin dropping the small ledge seen in the previous picture (different angle). The coverage in the both the landing and takeoff zones was excellent. James did a nice job behind the camera, except that the skier is a bit dark. Looking up towards bright light and snow can make picking the exposure setting somewhat difficult.
Small Snowfield: James preparing to ski the small snowfield (see wide view image for perspective.) James is raising his pole to signify his location as we prepare for the shoot (see boxed area).
James cranks his way down the small snowfield. It was his first day on his new Midfats, thank god the coverage was good or he would have had my head ;)
