OK, I was hiking around at Sugarbush again (with various other ski-VTers) today and I'll give the latest. The most important thing I saw came from the sky. When we arrived at the mountain at about 11:30 A.M, the snow was coming down moderate to heavy in the parking lot (enough so that I wanted my goggles). Accumulations when we left at around 3:00 were about two inches at the top of the mountain with little sticking below 2500'. Definitely a great winter scene, which probably won't last long, but it sure serves as a quick fix. Aside from that, the only other changes I noticed were that the base of the Sugar Bravo lift was missing and one had appeared up where the poma used to be. The parking lot of South is full of pieces of lifts, probably for various places, and the lodges seemed to have been worked on a bit.

After hiking with J-spin and crew at South yesterday (I won't bore you
with redundancy...J-reports stand quite solidly on their own), We
delivered ourselves back to the mnt estate on Bolton. Snow was falling
and accumulating, about one inch by nightfall. After a late night hike
with the head lamps (Petzel with Halogen bought at EMS during club day
sale.....AMAZING!!!!) while snow continued accumulating at the top of the
Quad to about 3 inches by 10 PM, we awoke this morning to a total
accumulation of about 3 inches down around our house. Cold weather
should keep around today and tomorrow, but I would expect most of it to
be gone by later this week as more seasonable temperatures march this way.
